STAMFORD, Conn. ? Reports from recent games in the Stamford American Little League:
CamSam Electric defeated AllSports in a 13-10 high-scoring match-up.
SALL Dr. Bs defeated Federal LL ESC in an interleague match-up, 17-3. Strong offense for Dr. Bs was lead by Matt Valenti and Lucas Beldotti with four hits each. They were helped by Mark Raimondi and Evan Kaplan, each with two hits.
Beldotti Bakery beat Rubino in a squeaker, 12-11. The game switced leads several times, and players from each team contributed both on the field and at the plate.
David Colazzo belted a home run for Air Solutions, and Michael Vakos had a key hit in the fifth inning. Air Solutions had a strong collective pitching effort, including Josh Lewis, Kevin Salvatore, Conner Harshman and Rocky Cuscuna.
Stamford Americans Exchange defeated Federal Little Leagues PAL, 4-0.
Stamford Americans Instant Replay defeated Federal Little Leagues ESC, 10-0, in five innings. Instant Replay was led by solid pitching by Nico Laveris, who struck out 10. Mick Dudek came in as relief pitcher to close the game. Instant Replays strong hitting came from Laveris, Jack Palmer, Louis Baer and Gary Morgan.
Stamford American PAL beat Federal Grade A, 10-1. Chris Rojas, Leo Socci, Anthony Rizzi and Ben Wilson combined pitching efforts for six innings, giving up two runs on three hits and recording 11 strikeouts. Offense was paced by Nick Romanello, Chris Rojas and and Chris Connolly, who combined for eight hits and eight RBIs. Chris Rojas stole home on a throw back to the pitcher when PAL batted around in a 5-run fifth inning.
CamSam Electric beat Rubino, 17-5, and Team All Sports topped Beldotti Bakery, 9-3.
All Sports won a slugfest against Rubino, 18-17.
Dr. Bs defeated Instant Replay, 2-0, in a pitchers duel featuring Lucas Beldotti of Dr. Bs and Lewis Baer of Instant Replay. The battle featured several spectacular catches from Mark Raimondi.
