Planning has begun for the 24th anniversary Jerry Sr. Memorial Celebrity Golf Tournament to be held Tuesday, Aug. 9, at Innis Arden Golf Club in Old Greenwich. Proceeds will benefit Abilis, a nonprofit serving people of all ages in Greenwich and Stamford with autism, Down syndrome and other developmental disabilities.
Among the featured celebrity players this year will be baseball greats Howard Johnson and Tommy John. Members of the Porricelli family recently presented a check to Lolli Ross and Joy Haenlein of Abilis for last year's tournament, which raised $65,000.
