Fairfield County Preps For Vicki Soto Memorial 5K Run

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Registration is now open for the first annual Vicki Soto 5k which will take place in Stratford on Saturday, Nov. 2 starting at 9:30 a.m.

Soto was one of the teachers that lost her life during the Sandy Hook Shootings in Newtown on Dec. 14, 2012.

Money raised from the event will go toward supporting students that want to go into education.

The family fun walk/run will take place through the picturesque Lordship section of Stratford, Soto's home town.

Registration for the event costs $26 plus a $2.50 sign up fee. Click here to register for the event.

Check in will begin at 7:30 a.m. in the large parking lot directly across from 550 Main St.
