Time Nears for School Buses to Roll

For parents of Stamford Public School students who are unsure of where their youngsters should catch their bus or who are seeking more information about routes, the bus schedules have been put together by the school district.

Bus transportation is provided for all high school students who live 2 miles or more from their schools; middle school students who live 1.5 miles or more from their schools; and elementary students living 1 or more miles from their schools.

In addition, any student requiring specialized transportation who meets district criteria may receive those services. Eligible students include anyone with an identified mental or physical disability, according to the district.

The school's bus service company is First Student Inc.

For more information, contact either Steve Schneider, director of the Stamford Public Schools transportation office, or Patricia Williams, the office coordinator, at (203) 977-4249, or check print publications for full bus schedules.
