NCC Sets Up For Space For Stamford-Based Nonprofit Future 5

STAMFORD, Conn. -- Norwalk Community College has donated an office to Stamford-based nonprofit Future 5.

“Community partnerships have proven to be a key ingredient in student success," said Ann Rogers, executive director of the Norwalk Community College Foundation. "Our goal is to significantly increase the number of NCC students who earn a high quality credential or associate's degree leading to employment, or transfer to complete their bachelor degree. We are thrilled that Future 5 is now one of these key community resources."

Future 5 students attending NCC can now meet with Future 5 coaches for assistance with academic, financial, time management and other challenges. More than 45 Future 5 students currently attend NCC.

The organization is dedicated to motivating low-income high school students in Stamford to graduate and connect to a better career and education path.

Located in the Lifetime Learners Suite on the first floor of the West Campus, the office is in an optimal space for student traffic.

Volunteer coaches Martha Cook and Julie Horowitz will provide office hours on Mondays and Thursdays from 1 to 3 p.m.
