Greenwich Police officers responded to the intersection of Byram Road and North Water Street in Greenwich shortly after 10:20 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 5, police said.
Upon arrival, officers found a two-car crash involving a Toyota Corolla driven by Greenwich resident Michelle Maher, who allegedly failed to stop at a stop sign before crashing.
According to police, Maher allegedly had glassy, red eyes and alcohol on her person and breath. Further investigation into the crash determined that she was allegedly intoxicated after she failed multiple Standardized Field Sobriety Tests.
Maher was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol at Greenwich Police Headquarters. She was released on $250 bond and scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court Friday, Dec. 20 to respond to the charge.
