Marie Infante, 66, turned herself into police Friday after an investigation found that she was at fault in the deadly crash that occurred around 7 p.m. on March 6 at the Newfield Green Shopping Center, said Stamford Police Sgt. Andrew Gallagher.

Gallagher said the investigation found that during the crash, a 2009 Honda Civic driven by Infante, was traveling through the parking lot when she hit pedestrian Mary Bova of Stamford, who was walking to her car. Bova died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.

Infante was charged with misconduct with a motor vehicle. She was processed and released on $10,000.00 surety bond and is scheduled to appear in court on June 29.

The investigation was handled by Officers Richard Dabrowski and Jeffrey Booth .
