STAMFORD, Conn. -- Stamford Police were investigating a shooting that occurred at about 4:30 p.m. Tuesday on the city's East Side.

In an email, Capt. Richard Conklin said two men were shot in the legs on Grant Avenue. Several shots were fired in the incident, he said. The injuries were non-life-threatening, Conklin said.

Police were continuing the investigation.
