STAMFORD, Conn. -- Stamford police released a sketch of a man they want to question in connection with the Oct. 16 sexual assault of a female jogger on Cove Island Island Park.
The 30-year-old woman was grabbed from behind by a suspect described as a Hispanic man who told the woman he had a knife, police said.
He sexually assaulted her near the track, then dragged her to the waterline and sexually assaulted her again, police said. The suspect fled the area, and the woman contacted police after running over a mile to her home.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic man between 35 and 40 years old, about 5-foot-7 with a stocky-medium build and a protruding stomach, unshaven beard, light skin and speaking English with a Spanish accent, police said.
He was wearing a dark-colored fleece sweatshirt, gym-style shorts, black sneakers, and a dark-colored baseball hat, police said.
