STAMFORD, Conn. A 27-year-old Stamford woman was arrested Tuesday for allegedly selling drugs on a city street corner with her two young sons in tow, Lt. Diedrich Hohn said.
Police went looking for Yasmin Rodriguez-Vasquez after an ex-boyfriend reported receiving several harassing text messages from her, including one where she allegedly threatened to shoot him in the head, Hohn said. The man was worried for the suspects sons, ages 9 and 6, he said.
When police arrested Rodriguez-Vazquez the corner of Stillwater Avenue and Liberty Street, she allegedly said she was selling drugs to support her family. She was found with six bags of marijuana in her possession, each worth about $20, Hohn said.
She was charged with felony first-degree threatening and second-degree harassment, felony possession of marijuana, possession with intent to sell, and two counts of risk of injury to a minor, he said. She was held on separate $25,000 bonds for each set of charges and appeared in court Wednesday, Hohn said.
The Department of Children and Families took custody of her children, he said.
