STAMFORD, Conn. -- A Stamford man exchanged with words a group of Hispanic men who were drinking beer, then returned with some friends to attack the group, sending one of the victims to hospital for three days, Stamford police said.
Erick Sanchez, 20, of 300 Tresser Blvd., is charged with intimidation by bigotry or bias, first-degree assault and third-degree assault.
The incident occurred on the evening of Oct. 20 on East Main Street, Stamford Police said. The group returned with sticks and attacked the Hispanic men, police said. They also yelled at the men to "go back" to their countries, police said.
Police are looking for three other suspects in the case.
The victim who was hospitalized suffered serious injuries, police said.
