Stamford Employee Charged With Stealing From Carter's

STAMFORD, Conn. — An employee of Carter’s in Stamford was charged Thursday in the theft of more than $15,000 in merchandise from the store, Sgt. Sean Scanlan said.

Kiara Michelle Taylor, 20, of Stamford was first accused of taking items back in September when the regional manager of the store contacted police, Scanlan said. She admitted to taking the items in a written statement, he said.

The items taken were only described as “miscellaneous,” the sergeant said.

Taylor was charged with second-degree larceny and charging more than $500 on a revoked credit card, police said.
