Police: Man Robbed At Stamford Hotel

STAMFORD, Conn.  — Stamford police were investigating a robbery Wednesday at America’s Best Value Inn on East Main Street, Capt. Brian McElligott said.

The victim, a 30-year-old Norwalk resident, told police that at 10:30 a.m. he heard a knock at the door and it was forced open, McElligott said. A suspect attacked the victim, and took an Apple T.V. Box and a hard drive before fleeing, the captain said.

The victim identified the suspect, and police expect to make an arrest soon, McElligott said. The suspect was described as a white male in his mid to late 30s, the captain said.

Police believe the suspect targeted the victim and were trying to determine any prior connection, he said.

The man suffered some bruises to his hand and face but did not need medical attention, McElligott said.
