STAMFORD, Conn. - Stamford police arrested a man Thursday suspected of stabbing another man at a New Year’s Eve Party, according to Lt. Diedrich Hohn.
Rigoberto Ramos, 22, of Bridgeport, is expected to be charged with first-degree assault, and is being held on a $25,000 bond, Hohn said.
According to Hohn, shortly after midnight on Jan. 1, Ramos and the victim began arguing at a house on Davenport Street, and Ramos took out a knife and stabbed the victim in the arm. The victim then ran from the house toward Greenwich Avenue, where police said they found him.
The victim had a “severe laceration” and needed surgery on his arm, Hohn said.
Police said Ramos was cooperative and that he admitted to the stabbing in his statement to police.
