STAMFORD, Conn. -- Days after Cuban leader Fidel Castro died, Cheguevarra was arrested by Stamford Police.

It was actually Cheguevarra Jean Francois, 18, of 24 Raymond St., Stamford — not Castro's brother in arms who died in 1967.

Jean Francois was arrested after an initial investigation into a 2010 Honda Accord that was stolen in Waterbury, police said. GPS satellite tracking reported that the Accord was on Raymond Street in Stamford, police said.

An officer who went down to Raymond Street Wednesday at about 9:30 a.m. to check out the GPS report saw the vehicle drive past and turned around to stop it, police said. The occupants appeared to be trying to hide something, police said, and a search turned up five ziplock bags of what police alleged was marijuana.

Jean Francois was charged with sale of a controlled substance and possessing drugs near a school.

He was driving the vehicle, which police said had been reported stolen in Waterbury. A 15-year-old female passenger, who is from Waterbury, told officers that it hadn't been stolen and that a man in Waterbury, gave her the keys and let her drive the vehicle, police said.

Police charged her with possession of a stolen vehicle. Police did not release her name due to her age.
