STAMFORD, Conn. — A total of 10 men involved in a large-scale drug-selling operation were busted Thursday as the result of a joint investigation of the Stamford Police Department and the federal Drug Enforcement Agency.
The men — from Stamford and Bridgeport — were rounded up in raids that began as early as 5:15 a.m. Thursday and continued into the afternoon, Stamford police Capt. Richard Conklin said.
Tactical SWAT teams took part in making the arrests because many of the suspects have a history of being involved in violence in the past and being in possession of weapons, Conklin said.
Police seized large amounts of weapons, cocaine, crack, marijuana and heroin, Conklin said.
He said they suspects were very active in drug sales in the West Side of Stamford, as well as other locations.
Ten men were arrested Thursday on state charges:
Michael Peters, 34, of Spruce Street, Stamford, was charged with possession of narcotics and possession of narcotics with intent to sell. He was held on $50,000 bond.
Norman Peters, 32, of Spruce Street, Stamford, was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to sell, criminal possession of ammunition and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was held on $75,000 bond.
Damani Donaldson, 42, of Harbor Point Road, Stamford, was charged with three counts each of possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, and conspiracy at possession of narcotics with intent to sell. He was held on $50,000 bond.
Sean McLean, 36, of Culloden Road, Stamford, was charged with two counts each of conspiracy to possess narcotics, and conspiracy to possess narcotics with intent to sell, possession of marijuana and possession of marijuana with intent to sell.
Rodney Williamson Jr., of Ursula Place, Stamford, was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to sell and conspiracy at possession of marijuana with intent to sell. He was held on $5,000 bond.
Andre “AJ” Nelson, 28, of Tresser Boulevard, was charged with three counts each of possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to sell and conspiracy at possession of marijuana with intent to sell. He was held on $50,000 bond.
Thomas Milord, 30, of Olive Street, Bridgeport, was charged with possession of marijuana, and possession of marijuana with intent to sell. He was held on $10,000 bond.
Trevor Thompson, 28, of Olive Street, Bridgeport, was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to sell and conspiracy at possession of marijuana with intent to sell. He was held on $50,000 bond.
Tory Hinton, 34, of Fairfield Avenue, Stamford, was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to sell and conspiracy at possession of marijuana with intent to sell. He was held on $2,500 bond.
Torrick Johnson, 37, of Southwood Drive, Stamford, was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to sell and conspiracy at possession of marijuana with intent to sell. He was held on $5,000 bond.
The investigation with the Stamford Police Department and the DEA began months ago and continues.
More arrests are expected, Conklin said.
