Susan Drucker, 56, of 56, of 11 E. 77th St., New York City, was arrested Sept. 5 in Stamford but failed to show up for her court appearance on Sept. 16, police said. An arrest warrant was prepared and Stamford Police were notified yesterday she was being held by police in Boston after they discovered the warrant for her, Capt. Richard Conklin said.
"She was doing something similar that she had done here," he said. Stamford Police picked up late yesterday and returned her to Stamford where she was held on a $10,000 bond for arraignment Friday.
On Sept. 5 Drucker was discovered wandering around Stamford Hospital's maternity area wearing a jacket with the name of a New York hospital on it and a stethoscope in a bag she was carrying, police said.
At the time Drucker is alleged to have told police she was a research specialist at New York Presbyterian Hospital and that was why she had the stethoscope.
The woman had been wandering around the area of the maternity ward shortly before noon, including going into rooms until someone called security, police said at the time. The woman was known to hospital security because of past dealings, police said.
There was no evidence she had any interaction with any patients, police said.
Nurses had spotted the woman at the nurses' station and staff thought she may have been a pediatrician visiting the hospital, police said.
During a search of Drucker's property after her arrest, police discovered a number of hospital wristbands with different names on them, police said.
She was charged with second-degree criminal trespass and disorderly conduct.
