Man With Knife Arrested After Fight In Stamford Store

STAMFORD, Conn. — A Stamford man was charged with cursing at another man and threatening him with a knife over the weekend, according to the Stamford Advocate.

Police told the Stamford Advocate that a man was riding an escalator in Target on Sunday evening when he encountered 27-year-old Damian Cobbs. Cobbs began cursing at the man and his friend, and showed him a knife tucked into his waistband, the Stamford Advocate reported. The man and his friend told police that they felt threatened and tried to get the knife away from Cobbs, and a fight ensued, according to the Stamford Advocate.

The man had a bloody mouth after the fight and Cobbs was stopped leaving the store, according to the Stamford Advocate. He was charged with threatening, carrying a dangerous weapon, and disorderly conduct, the Stamford Advocate reported.
