Man Charged With Robbing Stamford Electrical Store

STAMFORD, Conn. — A Stamford man was charged with robbing Palmer’s Electric Motors & Pumps this past July, Sgt. Andrew Gallagher said.

Video footage showed Miguel Lopez-Berrios, 45, entering the store and taking tools, electrical supplies and other “things that can be sold,” July 15 and 16, Gallagher said. The total value of the merchandise was $3,600, he said.

Lopez-Berrios was charged with two counts of third-degree burglary, conspiracy to commit third-degree burglary and third-degree larceny, police said.

Lopez-Berrios has been incarcerated since last month for a domestic incident, Gallagher said.

In addition to being caught on video, police also gathered evidence during an interview with Lopez-Berrios following the domestic incident, Gallagher said.

Police are working on getting more warrants for other burglaries he is suspected of in the city’s South End, Gallagher said.
