Officers were on patrol in the park about 8:20 a.m. Monday when they found Omar Antonio Torres, 33, with his pants around his knees and handling himself, McElligott said. The suspect had a plastic bag with pornography and women’s underwear, he said.

Police have received complaints about Torres from various people who use the park in the morning, including a new mother’s group that exercises there, and were looking for him Monday morning, he said.

Torres was charged with public indecency and breach of peace, police said. He was held on $500 bond and is scheduled to appear in court April 15, police said.
