Born Jan. 7, 1943, in Greenville, Ala., she was the daughter of Dorothy Lee Gould and Lawyer Lee Hall. She relocated with her family to Stamford in the late 1960s and started working for Electrolux. Known by friends and family as "Mother Milner," she later started a career in domestic work until her retirement.
Milner is survived four daughters, Linda Dozier of Stamford, Gilda Dozier of Marietta, Ga., Tammy Milner of Austell, Ga., and Doreen (Pastor Chris) Edwards of Stratford; a son, Aundra (MiMi) Dozier of Stamford; four siblings, Linda Cross, Laura Jean Hall Mercer, Shirley (Kevin) Womack and Bobby Hall, all of Luverne, Ala.; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday at Bethel A.M.E. Church in Stamford. A service will immediately follow at the church, with burial at Woodland Cemetery in Stamford. Baker Funeral Services is handling arrangements.
