STAMFORD, Conn. -- Yvette Prior-Crofoot, a Stamford resident, died Jan. 3. She was 90. 

She came to the United States after World War II to marry a U.S. GI she had met while he was stationed in Paris and settled in Stamford, where she raised her family.

Prior-Crofoot worked as a secretary in Paris and again, later, for the FSAB in Norwalk for 20 years. She also worked as a substitute French teacher. 

She is survived by her companion of 38 years, Joseph Gregory; her children, Douglas Prior-Crofoot and wife, Susan, Yvonne Lash and husband, Gary; grandchildren, Emily Prior-Crofoot; Christopher Lash, Amy Fater and husband, Timothy; and great-grandchild, Emma Fater.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to noon Friday, Jan. 8 at the Bosak Funeral Home, 453 Shippan Ave, Stamford with a prayer service to commence at noon. Interment will be private.
