Doris Buzzeo, 89, Of Stamford, Retired Companion Aide At Nursing Home

STAMFORD, Conn. - Doris Buzzeo of Stamford died Friday, May 17. She was 89.

Buzzeo was the daughter of Joseph and Consiglia (Biancardi) Sementini. She worked as a seamstress at Sally’s Blouse Factory, at Color Film, and as a companion aide at Courtland Gardens Nursing home until her retirement.

Buzzeo is survived by children, Pat Buzzeo (Sophie), Joseph Buzzeo, Joyce Forlenzo (Dominick), and MaryAnn Wolfe; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Palma Smeriglio; many nieces and nephews; and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents; and her husband, Anthony Buzzeo.

Calling hours are Monday, May 20 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Bosak Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 21 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Parish, 1200 Shippan Ave., in Stamford. The committal service and entombment will immediately follow Mass at St. John R.C. Cemetery in Darien.
