Two Men Shot at Stamford Barbershop

STAMFORD, Conn. – Two men were injured in a shooting in a Stamford barbershop Saturday night.

A 39-year-old man was shot in the shoulder and leg, which severed an artery, police said. He remained in Stamford Hospital in serious condition Sunday. A 26-year-old man shot in the right leg was treated at Stamford Hospital and released.

“We don’t believe they were the intended victims,” Stamford Police Sgt. Anthony Lupinacci said. The victims were customers waiting for haircuts at 9 p.m. at Cut Masters, 91 Richmond Hill Ave.

Video surveillance of the shooting shows a man come to “approximately 10 feet of the shop” and begin shooting through the window. Lupinacci said the man then ran from the store, still shooting through the window, and entered a car driving west on Richmond Hill Avenue.

Police said they have no leads on the shooter, although they are following up on several pieces of information.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Stamford police at 203-977-4417.
