STAMFORD, Conn. Two Stamford men were sentenced in New Haven federal court Tuesday for their involvement in firearm trafficking in southwestern Connecticut, a statement from U.S. Attorney David Fein said.
Jamar Mar or Mars Blackburn, 28, was sentenced to 10 years in prison followed by three years of supervised release after pleading guilty to conspiracy to willfully engage in the business of dealing in firearms without a license.
Anthony Uzar Jr., 50, was sentenced to two years in prison and two years of supervised release after pleading guilty to the same charge.
Both were arrested in May 2011 as part of an investigation into a drug- and narcotic-trafficking ring in Stamford and Norwalk, which led to 17 arrests, and the purchase or seizure by authorities of more than 100 firearms, including machine guns.
