Antoinette Palmieri of Stamford, left, and her Friendly Connections pal, Elizabeth Costa of New Canaan, took a little time out during a recent holiday party. Friendly Connections, a program of Family Centers, offers support to Fairfield County residents age 50 and over. Volunteers visit and telephone program participants, offering ongoing companionship.
