STAMFORD, Conn. Visiting Nurse and Hospice of Southwestern Connecticut has an immediate opening for a per diem medical social worker in its hospice program.
The candidate must have a masters degree in social work from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education as well as a Connecticut license. He or she must also understand the hospice philosophy and issues of death/dying and have extensive knowledge of community services and resources in the Norwalk/New Canaan/Darien/Stamford/Greenwich area.
A minimum of one years experience in home health care or hospice care is preferred.
