STAMFORD, Conn. Stamford is working to clear city streets of tree branches and other debris caused by Tuesday nights storm, though the damage was minimal, a news release issued by the city said.
As of 1 p.m., only 175 Connecticut Light & Power customers were without power, the utility companys outage report said.
Due to the limited damage, the city will not collect debris from residents, saying it is each homeowners responsibility, the release said. Residents with debris can take it to the Katrina Mygatt Recycling Center, 103 Magee Ave., which is open from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays and 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturdays, the release said.
If you see fallen power lines, assume they are live and stay away from them, the release said. Residents are asked to notify Connecticut Light & Power of fallen lines at 1-800-286-2000.
