Hope Street was by far the most popular answer garnering many responses from readers.

“Our wonderful neighbor CVS while updating their utilities dug up Hope from Faucett and Hope[streets] all the way to Hope [Street] and Pine Hill [Avenue] and added to the problem and left the street even worse!” Donna Smyle said.

Kathy Marsh commented: “Hope Street is just one big mess between the digging and potholes.”

“Hope Street is bad,” Carin Carlson said agreeing with others.

Other answers included:

“Shippan Ave down by the point,” Lisa Bernardo Pine said.

“Everywhere! Ugh,” Rocco Buchetto said.

The Mayor proposed $3.5 million in his capital project budget for street patch and resurfacing work for the upcoming fiscal year beginning July 1. The engineering department received $2.4 million from the city for the current year.

According to the engineering department’s request roads should be repaved about every 20 years or so to keep safe streets.
