Mary Eleanor OBrien, who had worked as a secretary for the Board of Education, died at home May 3.
Born in Dayton, Ohio, on Jan. 12, 1925, she was 86. She spent most of her life living in Stamford enjoyed spending time at her home in Florida and at the beach.
OBrien is survived by her son Daniel E. OBrien Sr.; her brother; John Crane of Virginia; her sisters, Barbara Engles of New Milford, Charlotte Malvicini of North Carolina and Beatrice Patterson of North Carolina; and two grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward S. OBrien.
Graveside services took place Friday, May 6, at the family plot in Long Ridge Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were made by Collins Funeral Home.
