Marie Boccuzzi, 80, Pitney Bowes Retiree

STAMFORD, Conn. – Marie Olga Boccuzzi, 80, died Sept. 2 at Sun City Hospice in Ruskin, Fla. She was born in Stamford on Aug. 17, 1931.

She worked in the insurance department and the credit union for Pitney Bowes until she retired in 1993. Boccuzzi and her long-time companion, Derek Scholefield, then moved to Riverview, Fla., where they were members of the Buckhorn Springs Golf & Country Club.

Boccuzzi is survived by two daughters, Jeanette Boccuzzi and Stephanie Boccuzzi, and three grandchildren.

A service will be held Saturday, Oct. 15, at 2 p.m. at St. Paul’s on the Green in Norwalk. Interment will follow in the Memorial Garden.

The family requests that donations be made in Boccuzzi’s name to the Kindred Spirits of the Humane Society of the United States, 2100 L St. NW., Washington, D.C. 20037, (866) 693-7436.

Funeral arrangements were made by the Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home and Crematory.
