Lawrence Infante Flew in WWII

Lawrence A. Infante, 86, a World War II veteran and avid bowler, passed away on Aug. 14 at Stamford Hospital. He was born in Greenwich on Sept. 7, 1923, to the late Nicholas and Rose Infante.

Infante served in the Army Air Corps during WWII and flew B52 bombers. He was active in the Democratic Party nationally and in Greenwich and Stamford.

He is survived by his wife, Dora Sottini Infante; two sons, Mark Lawrence and David Wallace Infante; a daughter Stephanie Kennedy; three stepsons, Joseph, Lou and David Sottini; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his siblings, Angela Bruno and Frank and Mike Infante.

A graveside service was held Wednesday at St. John's Cemetery in Darien. Condolences can be sent to the Castiglione Funeral Home in Greenwich via its Web site.
