Jewelry Repair Expert Porfirio Vasquez

A memorial service was held Friday for Stamford resident Porfirio Pagan Vasquez, who died Aug. 13 at Stamford Hospital. He was 75. Vasquez was an expert jewelry repairer and longtime employee of Crownwall Jewelry Corp. before retiring in 1994. Vasquez, son of the late Juan Pagan and Rafaela Vasquez, was born in Puerto Rico Sept. 18, 1934. He leaves behind his beloved partner, Elydia Pedrosa of Stamford; children Miguel and Jose Pedrosa, Lydia O'Hagan, Brunilda Roman, Juan Pagan, Doris Young and Gladys and Elsie Pagan; siblings Antonio Pagan and Aida, Esther and Isaias Cerezo; and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Along with his parents, Vasquez is predeceased by a brother, Salvador Pagan, and a sister, Matilde Cerezo.
