STAMFORD, Conn. A Stamford man who said he had been shooting squirrels with a BB gun on Custer Street was arrested Monday, police said.
A police officer spotted Alphonse Woodner, 21, of 133 Seaside Ave., and another man in a nearby park. Police said Woodner admitted having a BB gun. The officer found pellets and a broken BB gun where Woodner said he threw them. The other man was let go.
Woodner was charged with second-degree reckless endangerment, second-degree breach of peace and carrying a dangerous weapon, police said.

? Sheila Carmine, 80, of 59 Denise Drive in Stamford, was arrested Monday afternoon and charged with third-degree criminal mischief, police said.
? David Cifuentes, 27, of 39 Woodrow St. in Stamford was arrested Monday and charged with evading responsibility, illegal operation of a motor vehicle, use of a motor vehicle without permission and failure to drive right.
? Carlos Partida Flores, 19, of Norwalk was charged with sixth-degree larceny Monday night, police said.
