Ann Pappalardo, Lifelong Stamford Resident

Throughout Ann Pappalardo's life, she lived only in Stamford. A native of the city who was born at home, she also worked here. On Dec. 14, Pappalardo died in Stamford at the age of 89.

Pappalardo was born Nov. 28, 1921. She was a bookkeeper who had worked for Grade A Market in Stamford and for the Stamford Catholic schools.

She leaves behind her sister-in-law, Rita Pappalardo of Elmira, N.Y.; and a niece and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers.

Her family will receive visitors before the service at 9 a.m. Friday at the Lacerenza Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8 Schuyler Ave., Stamford. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Leo's Church, 24 Roxbury Road, Stamford. Burial will take place in St. John's Cemetery in Darien.
