Stamford's Umbrella Club Offers Support To Westport Firefighter

WESTPORT, Conn. – Westport firefighter Dan Mascolo, wife Norell and baby Ben received financial support from the nonprofit organization The Umbrella Club on Sept. 12.

With the help of Westport Police Department Cpl. Dave LiBrandi and Lt. Brett Kirby, the Mascolo family was able to meet with representatives of the Umbrella Club, Scott Kelly and John Heide.

The Umbrella Club, based in Stamford, provides assistance to special needs children and their families through local fundraising activities.

“My family is incredibly humbled by the generosity of the Umbrella Club and was humbled to have been chosen for their support,” said Mascolo.

The family received a financial donation that will assist them with physical, occupational and speech therapy, including travel expenses.
