The headlining act will be the Bedlam Brothers String Band, a Connecticut-based group that for over three decades has specialized in an eclectic mix of vocals and instruments. Irish and Scottish songs, American roots, fiddle tunes, country music from the 1920s and '30s and traditional and contemporary folk music are all a part of their act.
The event is the first of a planned ongoing program at the Congregation called Art and Soul Productions, where contemporary arts and ideas will be celebrated and discussed.
Doors open at 7:30 p.m. and the show begins at 8 p.m. The Congregation's doors face Prospect Street at Forest Street in downtown Stamford. Admission is $10, and the show is appropriate for all ages.
