Stamford Event Supports Needy Indian Children

STAMFORD, Conn. – Stamford’s Indian community will hold a fundraiser this weekend to benefit India's underprivileged children.

The night will begin with a taste of Indian culture provided by Odissi dancer Nandini Sikand and sitar maestro Neel Muragi.

Afterward there will be a dinner prepared by Tawa and music by DJ Tapas. A movie theater will be set up for children, the release said.

The fundraiser will support Children’s Rights and You, America, an organization that fights for the rights of children around the world, a release said.

The fundraiser will be Saturday, Oct. 8, at Bank Street Events in Stamford. Spear-heading the evening is the Network of Asian Moms.
