Stamford Delegate Reports On The GOP Convention

STAMFORD, Conn. — The following letter was written by Stamford Police Officer Eva Maldonado after the first day of the Republican National Convention last week. Maldonado, a Republican candidate for State Representative for District 146, attended the convention as an alternate delegate.

By far the time here at the RNC Convention has been very rewarding, including the down time with Hurricane Isaac. During the down time I have been able to utilize the time to network for Stamford. To discover what others are doing and what is working and what is not. I am working on bringing resources to Stamford for District 146.

Yesterday was day one at the Convention Hall, in one word INSPIRED!!!!!

... FOR OUR FAMILY

... FOR OUR FRIENDS

... FOR THE USA

... FOR THE FUTURE.

Every message that was delivered had a common theme about how they started from nothing but because of the fundamental nature of how the USA was built of working hard and a good education will lead to many opportunities. I am honored to be part of History in the making.

The Stamford Daily Voice will also receive pictures and feedback from the Democratic National Convention from Hershellar Merritt, a member of the Board of Representatives from Stamford’s 9th District.
