Robert Kunz, 65, Lifelong Stamford Resident

STAMFORD, Conn. – Robert Kunz, a lifelong resident of Stamford, died suddenly at Bridgeport Hospital on May 26, surrounded by his family. He was 65.

Kunz worked as a general manager for over 20 years.

The son of the late Robert Kunz and Irene Logan Kunz, he was born Nov. 21, 1946, in Stamford. Kunz was a Third Degree Knight of Columbus and a member of St. Augustine Council No. 41, where he helped with development and construction of a new facility. 

He is survived by his life partner, Sharon Ormsbee, of Stamford; a son, Jim Buchanan, of Stamford; a sister, Debbie Orifice, of Hamden, Conn., and a niece and a nephew. Kunz was predeceased by a brother, Alan "Pete" Kunz. 

The family will receive relatives and friends from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at Bosak Funeral Home in Stamford. A funeral service will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
