Juliette Morris, 93, Fashion Artist From Stamford

STAMFORD, Conn. – Juliette K. Morris, a 65-year resident of Stamford, died April 27. She was 93. 

Born June 25, 1918, she was raised in the Bronx, N.Y. Morris moved to Stamford, later relocating to Redding and then to Stratford. Upon graduating from Parsons School of Design, she worked for Bloomingdale's in New York City. In the 1950s, she became a freelance artist appearing in Esquire magazine many times, as well as many other publications. 

Throughout the 1960s and '70s, Morris was the premier fashion illustrator for Filene's of Boston. She volunteered at the Stamford Horticultural Society and was a longtime member of the Stamford Yacht Club. She was married to Louis Renault and then to Charles Morris.

Morris is survived by a daughter, Leslie Renault of Stratford; a son, Peter Renault of Portland, Ore.; a brother, Fred Kida of Greenwich; and a grandson.

There will be no service. A celebration of her life for close friends and family will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a favorite charity.
