A “panel of culinary experts” from Connecticut Magazine has listed two Fairfield County locales for having some of the best barbecue selections in the state.

Here are the Fairfield County establishments that were recognized for their bold and beefy barbecue:

The Cue, Danbury: Going on its fourth year of operation, The Cue restaurant in Danbury (2 Pembroke Road) uses “old world cooking methods” on natural wood to achieve the signature sweet and smoky flavors it’s become most famous for. Hoodoo Brown BBQ, Ridgefield: Located at 967 Ethan Allen Highway, Hoodoo Brown BBQ has been serving up authentic Texas-style barbecue since its May 2015 opening. From smoked chicken wings to Texas poutine, fried green tomatoes and more, Hoodoo Brown can serve up savory selections for even the biggest appetites.
