STAMFORD, Conn. -- Each year, downtown Stamford hosts a distinguished outdoor sculpture exhibit designed to attract local and regional audiences.
'Art in Public Places' features sculptures that line the sidewalks and parts of the downtown, as well as the Stamford Town Center.
The 2015 exhibit consists of 40 originally designed and painted fiberglass dinosaurs that will be on display all summer.
Stamford Downtown held its opening night celebration Wednesday at Bank Street Events in Stamford. Cocktails and hors d'oeuvres were served, and there were tours throughout the evening to view the dinosaurs.
At the conclusion of the exhibit, the dinosaurs will be sold at auction, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting Stamford EMS and the Stamford Police Foundation.
