STAMFORD, Conn. -- Stamford-based WWE is severing all ties with superstar Hulk Hogan due to an interview laced with racial slurs in 2012, according to multiple reports.
WWE, which is headed by Greenwich residents Vince and Linda McMahon, has removed all merchandise and any mention of Hogan from its websites, according to Wrestling News Source.
Speculation about the separation points to audio that surfaced from a 2012 interview in which Hogan repeatedly used a racial slur geared toward African Americans, My San Antonio reported.
WWE officials have yet to comment on the situation.
