The company, Deutsch Family Wine & Spirits, will move into a 43,563-square-foot space at 201 Tresser Blvd. in downtown Stamford.

Gov. Dannel Malloy, who announced the move Wednesday, said Deutsch’s decision to move to Stamford signifies Connecticut’s attractiveness to business.

“We continue to attract and retain companies like never before – and this is another example of our progress,” Malloy said in a statement. “Progress is no doubt happening, and bringing these jobs to Stamford demonstrates that our state continues to work to attract new companies each and every day.”

After outgrowing its 25,000-square-foot space in White Plains, the company searched for alternate facilities in the Westchester and Stamford markets before finding the space on Tresser Boulevard.

Company Chairman Bill Deutsch said he was looking forward to the move.

“We’re very excited about the move to Stamford and to give our employees the opportunity to work in such a vibrant community with good public transportation, indoor parking and close proximity to restaurants and shopping,” Deutsch said in a statement.

Deutsch also praised Malloy and Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Catherine Smith for their support, “which was instrumental in making this project a reality.”

Smith said the addition of Deutsch’s office to Downtown Stamford could stimulate future economic development in Connecticut.

“Deutsch Family Wine & Spirits is a well-known name within the industry, and having the Deutsch family here will only encourage others to consider Connecticut for their business operations and expansion,” Smith said. “Their selection of Connecticut is another endorsement of the state’s great location, high quality of life, and relative cost advantage.”

Deutsch introduced Australian wine Yellow Tail, the nation’s largest imported wine brand, to the U.S. market. The company’s portfolio also includes America’s hottest wine brand —Josh Cellars – which was recently named 2015 Marketwatch “Wine Brand of the Year.”

Deutsch Family is the fastest-growing wine and spirits company in the country in the $10- to $25-a-bottle price segment, according to company officials.
