The Job Market Diversification Report (JMDR) is designed to determine the resiliency of the job market compared with LinkUp’s existing job listing demographics and unique methodology.

The survey drew a number of conclusions regarding the region’s job diversification statistics:

  • Two-thirds of the job market experienced a drop in diversification scores
  • The increasingly diversified markets have a higher demand for commercial real estate
  • Bridgeport is steadily becoming less dependent on Western Connecticut Health Network, its largest employer
  • The most diversified mid-markets include Spokane, Washington; Provo, Utah; Oxnard, California; and Bridgeport/Stamford/Norwalk, Connecticut
