Iconic Newsman Pablo Guzman Dies: 'Was Real Deal'
Veteran journalist Pablo Guzman, who became well-known and well-loved among New Yorkers over his decades on the air with several outlets, has died, according to a report by CBS News.
Guzman, who spent nearly three decades with CBS New York after joining in 1995, died on Sunday morning, Nov. 26 at the age of 73, in Westchester.
A graduate of the State University of New York at Old Westbury in Nassau County, Guzman began his television career at WNEW-TV Channel 5 in 1984 before joining WNBC in 1992.

Greenwich Police Nab Violent Kidnapper Who Fled From Westchester County, Cops Say
Police in Fairfield County nabbed a violent kidnapper who fled from Westchester County after committing the alleged crime.
The incident took place in Greenwich early Thursday, Sept. 21.
According to Lt. Patrick Smyth, of the Greenwich Police, the department was notified by authorities in Westchester that police pursued a suspected wanted in a kidnapping and assault with a gun in Rye and had crossed state lines into the Town of Greenwich.
The suspect, identified as Daniel Patrick Twomey, age 39, of Lodi, New Jersey, was believed to be armed and dangerous, Smyth said.

Oil Thief Caught Siphoning From Popular CT Restaurant: Police
A New York man was caught stealing cooking oil from a local Connecticut restaurant in an early-morning escapade, police said.
The New Haven County incident happened on Wednesday, Aug. 30, in Milford, the city’s police department announced.
At approximately 3:50 a.m., Milford Police spotted a white tanker in the side parking lot of Lasse’s Restaurant, located at 611 Bridgeport Avenue.
Upon investigation, officers saw Westchester County resident Wilfredo Santiago, age 38, actively stealing oil from a vat off the side of the restaurant.
