Masked Gunman Carjacks Delivery Van Packed with Christmas Gifts in Fairfield A Connecticut delivery driver’s routine evening turned into a terrifying ordeal when they were carjacked at gunpoint, authorities said. The carjacking happened around 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 21, in the 200 block of Woodrow Ave. in Fairfield’s Southport neighborhood. The thief got away with several Christmas presents intended for area residents. The victim told investigators that a masked man climbed through the passenger door, threatened the driver with a gun, and then drove off with the truck, Fairfield police said. CT ATV, Dirt Bike Group Suspected Of Reckless Driving Nabbed, Police Say A large group of ATV and dirt bike riders who have allegedly been causing havoc on the highways in a Connecticut city have been nabbed by police. The group has been causing problems over the past six to seven weeks in New Haven County in Meriden, said Lt. Darrin McKay of the Meriden Police.
