The fire took place in Stamford on Sunday, June 5, in the parking lot of 587 Elm St. According to Sgt. Sean Scanlan, of the Stamford Police, firefighters responded to the scene and found a 2008 Honda SUV on fire. After the fire was extinguished and investigators began looking into the cause of the blaze. Missing Roofer Located 'Safe And Sound,' Police Say A Stamford man who had been missing for days after leaving a Shippan bar has been located. The Stamford Police Department said Tuesday, Aug. 13, that Mariusz “Marco” Gibas, 37, "had been found safe and sound." Gibas had been missing since Wednesday, Aug. 7, as he was leaving Fiddler's Green on Shippan Avenue and walking toward Cummings Beach, said the Stamford Police Department. Luan Vrzizoli, of Fairfield Avenue, died Friday, May 3, following the crash around 11:08 a.m., Thursday, May 2, said Stamford police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Squad Sgt. Jeffrey Booth.
