Woman Busted At Norwalk Spa For Offering Prostitution Services, Police Say A woman has been charged with promoting prostitution at a busy Fairfield County spa. HongMin Wang, age 58, of Queens, was arrested on Monday, Dec. 18, by members of the Norwalk Police Special Services Division at the Healthy Spa at 99 New Canaan Ave.  An investigation into activities at the spa stemmed from numerous complaints about this location, said Sgt. Ryan Evarts, of the Norwalk Police. She was charged with: Prostituting persons 16 and over Promoting prostitution Permitting prostitution Wang was held on a $2,500 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday, Jan. …

Storm Bringing Mix Of Freezing Rain, Sleet, Snow Causing Hazardous Travel Conditions Winter Weather Advisories have been expanded as a storm system bringing a mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain is causing hazardous travel conditions and has led to many delayed school starts and closures in the region. The advisories now include Long Island and Queens, where they are in effect until 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17, along with southern Westchester and coastal Connecticut. North of I-287 in New York and the Merritt Parkway in Connecticut, where the temperature will struggle to rise above the freezing mark, the advisories run through 6 p.m. Tuesday.
